Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a knowalage of mill/turn machinesThis role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision components according to detailed specifications. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and working within lean manufacturing environments to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring accurate machining of parts.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints,
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions against specifications.
- Adjust machine parameters as needed for optimal performance and quality control.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to machining, welding, and the use of power tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement practices to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models (SolidWorks preferred).
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
- Experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to work with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
