We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Student Optician / Optical Associate to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a student currently enrolled in an Opticianry program who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a busy, patient-focused optical practice.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic and assisting patients throughout their eyewear journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and create a warm, professional experience from the moment they arrive.
- Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens options that best suit their lifestyle and visual needs.
- Take accurate optical measurements and prepare laboratory orders.
- Perform frame adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs.
- Support the dispensing process while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Educate patients on eyewear products, lens technologies, and proper eyewear care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete all required documentation.
- Resolve patient inquiries professionally and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Ensure every patient receives outstanding service and follow-up.
Clinic & Administrative Duties
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm eye examination appointments. Experience using E-Vision is considered a bonus.
- Notify patients when their eyewear or contact lenses are ready for pickup.
- Update and maintain patient information within the practice management system.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Keep displays, workstations, and the dispensary clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Follow clinic policies, procedures, and privacy standards.
- Provide general support to the optometrists and optical team as needed.

Qualifications
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to communicate in Korean is considered a strong asset.
- Previous experience in an optical clinic or retail environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work evenings and Saturdays is an asset.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
