Job Title: Shipper/Receiver
Job Purpose: To assist and support the flow of products and stock throughout the warehouse in order to complete daily operations of Pinnacle customer demands.
- Load, unload, move and pack products and materials by hand or with material handling equipment (Forklift)
- Operate computerized inventory control systems
- Communicate with Customers
- Help support priorities and other tasks efficiently
Status/Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, Day Shifts, Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
- Offload & Re-load trailer loads of customer material in a timely manner
- Ensure shipments are received/shipped correctly with manifests
- Confirm the condition of goods being received/shipped
- Complete Paperwork as required
- Communicate with Customers
- Cooperatively work with team members to improve the work process by analyzing activities, identifying causes and suggesting appropriate solutions.
- Follow written directions; interpret schedules, shipping documents
- Fill warehouse orders - Pick & Pack
- Move and Prepare Bags (up to 50lb) for Shipping
- Track and examine inbound/outbound shipments
Skills and experience:
- Grade 12 diploma preferred
- Basic Computer Skills - Email, Excel Spreadsheets, Word
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System regulations
- Previous forklift experience an asset
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Math skills: perform accurate counts and scheduling
- Friendly with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Writing skills: enter information on forms, work orders, etc.
