Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant or Registered Technician to join our healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic pharmacy environment, supporting patient care and medication management. Duties
- Assist licensed pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription labels and package medications according to protocols
- Maintain and update patient records with precise documentation of medication history
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under supervision
- Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Perform medication administration tasks as delegated by the pharmacist, adhering to safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, insurance processing, and data entry
- Follow all safety protocols related to medication handling and patient confidentiality
Skills
- Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail to prevent errors in medication dispensing
- Effective communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools
