Overview
We are seeking dedicated Asphalt Labourers (Rakerman / Rollerman) to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with asphalt paving projects and supporting paving operations and equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality project completion. The ideal candidate is physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to infrastructure development. Prior experience in construction or paving is an advantage but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading, raking, and leveling asphalt materials
- Support compaction work as a Rollerman, operating rollers and compactors under supervision
- Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, loaders, and compactors under supervision
- Prepare work sites by setting up barriers, signage, and safety equipment
- Load and unload materials needed for paving projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily tasks
- Support team members in various construction-related activities as needed
Skills
- Basic knowledge of asphalt paving or heavy equipment operation is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Experience as a Rakerman (Asphalt Raker) or Rollerman (Compactor Operator) is an advantage
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to safety standards and procedures
- Good communication skills and reliability are highly valued
Pay: $17.85-$29.70 per hour
