Summary
This is a contractual Role for 6 months.
A Junior Quality Inspector role focuses on maintaining product standards by conducting routine inspections, executing testing procedures, and logging defects. Entry-level personnel assist senior staff in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, reviewing traceability documentation, and performing data entry for quality reports.
Core Responsibilities
- Routine Inspections: Perform visual and mechanical evaluations of raw materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products.
- Testing & Measurement: Operate standard measuring and testing equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, or specialized lab equipment) to assess product dimensions and functionality.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately log inspection results, fill out non-conformance reports, and compile customer data packages or history files.
- Process Monitoring: Check production lines to ensure that all work adheres to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Issue Escalation: Flag defects, damages, or process deviations and report them promptly to Quality Supervisors or senior engineers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A High School Diploma is the minimum requirement; a College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook) and ability to learn inventory or quality database software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, and regularly lift/move items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Comfort working in temperature-controlled production or laboratory environments.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
