We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1A Truck Driver to join our team in Albany, PEI. This is an on-going opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused professional with commercial trucking experience.

THE JOB
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of livestock and bulk agricultural products on local, regional, and inter-provincial routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles
- Transport livestock and agricultural products to designated locations
- Assist with loading and unloading when required
- Complete driver logbooks and vehicle maintenance records
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate professionally with customers and delivery site personnel
- Follow all transportation, safety, and livestock handling regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of equipment
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class 1A driver's license (manual transmission)
- Clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 3 years of commercial Class 1 driving experience
- Experience hauling livestock, particularly swine, considered a strong asset
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance when required during loading and unloading
- Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance
- Reliable, professional, and capable of working independently
WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY
- $25.00 - $27.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
- Based out of Albany, PEI
- Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed, up to 55 hours per week (Schedule will vary based on assigned routes)
- Most routes allow drivers to return home daily; however, occasional overnight trips to Quebec are required
