Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems, heavy machinery, and safety protocols. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory records using systems like SAGE or other warehouse management systems
- Load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Support manufacturing and Medical Kitting -related tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace
- Assist in inventory control and stock replenishment tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during heavy equipment operation and general warehouse activities
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with warehouse distribution, manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of order picking, packaging, load & unload procedures
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in a fast-paced setting
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy
- Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable for this role
