Your challenge
Reporting to the Quality Director and working with the Materials Manager, the Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting, documenting, and receiving materials.
Inspection upon Receipt
- Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications ;
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of materials ;
- Perform PMI (Positive Material Identification) tests ;
- Verify that materials comply with customer requirements (drawings, specifications) ;
- Check quantities received by comparing them with the packing list ;
- Validate the presence of mandatory documents (purchase order, packing list, movement report) ;
- Enter receipt data into EPICOR and create batches to ensure traceability ;
- Report any anomalies to the project manager responsible for purchasing ;
- Approve and scan material test certificates ;
- Label materials in accordance with procedures ;
- Ensure the traceability of materials used ;
- Document non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions ;
- Write inspection reports and control documents ;
- All other related tasks.
Documentation Control
- Manage the daily receipt and dispatch of project documents ;
- Verify customer approval of drawings, ITPs, WPSs, and NDE procedures ;
- Send concrete samples to the analysis laboratory ;
- Maintain the equipment calibration log ;
- Maintain the welder qualification continuity log ;
- Scan and organize documents to create the Data Book ;
- Generate the final Data Book in PDF format ;
- All other related tasks.
Required qualifications
- DEC in mechanical engineering, in administration or other equivalent training ;
- Knowledge of Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) ;
- Experience in quality control (an asset) ;
- Experience in receiving materials (an asset) ;
- Experience in custom manufacturing (an asset) ;
- Knowledge of ASME code (an asset).
