Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in welding, fabrication, and assembly processes, providing valuable skills in a dynamic industrial environment. Responsibilities
- Assist experienced welders and fabricators in performing MIG and TIG welding on various materials
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Support the rigging and assembly of metal components using mechanical knowledge and schematics
- Use calipers and basic math skills to measure materials accurately for cutting and welding tasks
- Perform machining tasks as directed, including working with ductwork, structural steel, or other fabricated parts
- Assist with the setup and operation of cranes and forklifts for material handling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, machining, crane operation, and general manufacturing processes
Skills
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding processes
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience or understanding of rigging, crane operation, and material handling equipment such as forklifts
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, ductwork fabrication, or construction projects
- Proficiency with calipers and basic math for precise measurements
- Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting and assembly processes
- Ability to follow safety procedures related to welding, machining, rigging, and general manufacturing environments
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $28.20-$47.00 per hour
