About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys seeing their work come to life across multiple channels. In this role, you will work closely with the VP of Sales and Marketing to execute the corporate marketing strategy and deliver campaigns that support our branches, strengthen our brand, and drive customer engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded marketer to own day-to-day marketing execution across a wide range of channels in a growing B2B environment within the electrical distribution industry. You will be responsible for maintaining brand consistency, managing coordination with global manufacturing partners, and ensuring branches have the marketing materials they need to support sales activity. This is a hands-on role where priorities may shift.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Coordination
- Campaign Delivery: Execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, branch traffic, and customer engagement.
- Omni-Channel Initiatives: Deliver B2B marketing initiatives across digital, print, email, social media, branch TV, and sales enablement tools.
- Partner Alignment: Manage coordination with manufacturing partners to ensure brand guidelines are followed and accurately represented in campaigns.
- Branch Support: Oversee the distribution of marketing materials to branches.
- Brand Integrity: Maintain consistency in messaging, branding, and visual identity across all communications.
Content Creation & Graphic Design
- Collateral Production: Create, edit, and maintain marketing collateral—including flyers, line cards, catalogues, banners, and digital ads
- Digital Calendars: Own the digital marketing editorial calendar, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
- Internal Comms: Produce internal communications such as company newsletters and intranet updates.
Web, Events, & Analytics Support
- Website Upkeep: Own updates and maintenance of website and landing page content using front-end tools (no coding required), ensuring alignment with SEO and Google best practices.
- Event Logistics: Coordinate the execution of promotions, contests, trade shows, and corporate events.
- Reporting: Collect, organize, and report on performance data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Hootsuite; compile reporting in Excel to measure campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in a B2B, distribution, or industrial environment.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Experience managing website content and using web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Core Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on marketing copywriting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to manage and deliver work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with eCommerce platforms or on-site search tools (e.g., Builder.io, Klevu).
- Basic photography or video editing skills for original content creation.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or Google Ads.
