At Vortex, our projects combine engineering, design, construction, and creativity to create aquatic play environments enjoyed by communities around the world. We’re looking for a Project Manager who enjoys solving technical challenges, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and seeing projects move from an idea on paper to a completed installation.
Working alongside designers, technical drafters, engineers, and sales professionals, you’ll act as the link between our customers and the teams responsible for delivering each project. From the bidding stage through execution and installation, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and to Vortex quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate customer requests and determine the best mechanical and structural solutions.
- Assess the feasibility of product modifications and new concepts.
- Review project designs and customer requirements to determine technical specifications.
- Conduct technical studies and contribute to project cost estimates.
- Once a project is awarded, define the technical phases, deliverables, and requirements needed for successful execution.
- Manage the flow of information between customers, Sales, Engineering, Design, and other key stakeholders.
- Meet with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and customers to coordinate design and technical requirements.
- Support customers and contractors with engineering and technical questions throughout the project.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Keep technical deliverables on schedule and within project requirements while maintaining a strong focus on quality and innovation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of engineering project management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction-related environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and technical drawings.
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced CAD knowledge; SolidWorks experience is an asset.
- PMP certification and aquatic industry experience are assets.
- Bilingual French and English, with at least an intermediate level of English.
- Ability to travel to project sites when required.
Proficiency in English is required for this role, as approximately 40% of the responsibilities involve regular communication with stakeholders based in the United States and Europe.
