Our client, a globally recognized organization in the manufacturer is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their growing team! This role is ideal for someone who is highly comfortable with accounting software, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and self starter. Please note that this is a contract role to start with potential f longer term placement.
Responsibilities
- Complete intercompany invoicing and month end journal entries
- Investigate legacy transactions, build and complete balance sheet reconciliations, quantifying risks and opportunities
- Log and code freight invoices on a weekly basis
- Month end journal entries for fixed assets, accrued expenses, etc
- Complete weekly 13-week rolling cash flow forecast
- Support Director of Finance in ad hoc reporting and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain various Excel files to support financial reporting
- Assist with various accounting functions as needed
Requirements
- University Graduate enrolled in final level CGA/CPA.
- 5 year’s accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in s ERP system
- Self starter, detail oriented, proactive.
- Working knowledge of multiple element arrangements for revenue recognition.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
- Solid comprehension and interpretation skills for legal documents related to customer contracts and orders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
- Strong presentation skills for high level management reporting
- Strong MS Excel skills with ability to manipulate data bases and do financial modelling in Excel.
