Community Assoc. Restaurant & Lounge Manager
Cook up great vibes at The Nest! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations of our on-site dining and lounge facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for residents and guests alike. The manager will also coordinate food preparation, oversee restaurant management functions, and maintain high standards of hospitality within the community setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise restaurant and lounge staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Manage POS system (TouchBistro) for accurate handling and transaction processing
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Coordinate food service operations, including serving residents and guests efficiently
- Lead restaurant management activities, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health codes and safety standards
- Manage bar operations and beverage offerings
- Implement team management strategies to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- The Manager will have an expanded leadership role, with responsibilities that include active participation in service. This will involve scheduled serving shifts in both front and back of house to ensure alignment, support staff, and maintain service standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or food service industry
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS system (TouchBistro)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Experience in team management, interviewing, and staff development
- Ability to oversee food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of the food industry trends within community association settings is desirable
