Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Gas Station Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail fuel station. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and driving sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management to ensure the station operates efficiently and profitably. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to foster a welcoming environment for diverse customers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise station staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance to promote a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations, including cashiering, POS transactions, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Manage purchasing and pricing strategies to optimize profit margins while maintaining competitive pricing.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are met.
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase station traffic and sales performance.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative records.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, reinforce training & development initiatives, and motivate team members.
- Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for upper management.
- Manage budgeting processes to control costs effectively while maximizing revenue opportunities.

Skills

- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in sales management, marketing strategies, and pricing optimization.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative functions.
- Competence in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions.
- Time management skills to prioritize responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
