Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Administrative Assistant 3 for Sturgeon Composite High School.
One of the largest rural high schools in Alberta, Sturgeon Composite High School is located just minutes north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert. Sturgeon Composite High School has a dedicated team working collaboratively to provide exemplary education to approximately 950 students from grades 10-12. Programming includes a broad range from academics and arts to Career and Technology Studies, Knowledge & Employability (K&E), and Special Education classes. With a welcoming environment, the school prepares students to be successful through a balance of excellent programs and activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide professional administrative and clerical support to the school administration
Liaise with Central Office, Alberta Education, and other public organizations
Maintain and administer student data systems, including PowerSchool and PASI
Coordinate and track staff absences and casual coverage
Support school communication, including newsletters, website updates, and correspondence
Provide reception services and assist with daily office operations
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal to support school functions
What You Bring
Administrative Assistant Diploma (required)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Publisher), Google Suite, PowerSchool, PowerScheduler, PASI, and website management
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Energetic and enthusiastic approach with attention to detail
TCIS and First Aid certification
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
