NB Lung is a small health charity in Fredericton, NB. We are a community-centric and forward-thinking advocate for lung health that believes in better outcomes by working together with internal and external partners.

This new intermediate level position will be responsible for strengthening NB Lung’s capacity for proactive, coordinated, and sustained policy advocacy, government relations, strategic partnership development, and mission-aligned project growth.
This position requires strong judgment, discretion, political acuity, and professionalism. The Manager must be able to work in non-partisan environments, maintain constructive relationships across political and sectoral lines, and may represent NB Lung at meetings, committees, consultations, coalition tables, and partner discussions.
The role is responsible for turning relationship and policy activity into organized follow-through. This includes maintaining an engagement log, tracking commitments, preparing meeting materials, documenting decisions and rationale, coordinating input from internal and external partners, and ensuring that next steps are clear and timely. Public-facing advocacy, partner communications, community engagement, and mobilization activities are will be coordinated, respectful, non-partisan, evidence-informed, and aligned with NB Lung’s values and reputation.
Applicants can expect to work both independently and collaboratively within our small team. Occasional long days and/or weekend work and/or travel is expected.
Qualifications and requirements
· Minimum 5 years experience in government relations, public policy, public affairs, stakeholder relations, health promotion, nonprofit leadership, project development, or a related field.
· Fluency in both French and English is a strong asset.
· Demonstrated experience preparing briefing notes, policy submissions, reports, proposals, or advocacy materials
· Demonstrated experience building relationships with government, nonprofit, health, community, funder, or coalition partners
· Experience with grant writing, project development, project coordination, or funder reporting is considered an asset
· Knowledge of the New Brunswick policy environment, legislative process, public health system, or nonprofit sector
· Experience working in a bilingual, nonprofit, health, public-interest, or community-based environment is considered an asset

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
