We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead crews and oversee landscape construction projects from start to finish. Only those with more than 5 years landscape construction experience will be considered for this position.
Position Summary
The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating landscape construction crews while actively participating in daily operations. This position requires strong leadership, extensive landscape construction knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Job Description
· Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on a variety of projects.
· Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
· Read and interpret landscape drawings, site plans, and project specifications.
· Manage project schedules and communicate progress with management and clients.
· Train, mentor, and motivate crew members.
· Operate and oversee the use of landscape construction equipment and tools.
· Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
· Enforce company safety policies and procedures and conduct regular safety inspections.
· Monitor material usage and coordinate deliveries as required.
· Complete daily reports, timesheets, and project documentation.
· Identify and resolve site issues proactively.
· Maintain a professional image and positive customer relationships.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of landscape construction experience.
· Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of landscape construction practices, including:
- Interlocking stone and paver installation
- Retaining walls
- Natural stone work
- Grading and drainage
- Planting and softscape installation
- Sod installation
· Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings.
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, and other landscape equipment.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (DZ license considered an asset).
· Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work in various weather conditions.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
