Canadian Maritime Engineering Ltd is looking for a Project Supervisor for our Ontario office. We are looking for a talented individual who can help to plan projects and establish the criteria by which project success will be measured. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the Day-to-Day operations administrative activities at your location. This includes not only the leadership but also the hands on support and direction to ensure a balanced approach to staff workload.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include working closely with our Department Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. Ultimately, the Project Engineer’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
- Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
- Help prepare budgets
- Analyze risks and opportunities
- Oversee project procurement management
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
Qualifications
- Post Secondary Education from a University or Community College with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Minimum 5 years’ related field and project planning experience in the marine industry
- Excellent project management skills
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Field management experience a plus
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
