Job Summary
The Senior Janitorial Operational Manager oversees the daily operations of commercial cleaning services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and efficiency across multiple client sites. This leadership role involves managing janitorial teams, coordinating cleaning schedules, and maintaining quality control to meet client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive custodial experience and a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices, with a focus on operational excellence and team development.
Duties
- Oversee and manage all operational and management functions related to assigned area contracts.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services by maintaining client satisfaction and meeting contractual service standards.
- Ensure all employee security clearances are obtained, maintained, and renewed before expiration.
- Conduct regular client review meetings and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Ensure all contractual quality requirements are consistently met and documented.
- Monitor and ensure completion of all mandatory employee training requirements.
- Provide direction to Supervisors and assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and workflow management.
- Manage operations across multiple sites and locations to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Continuously enhance service quality and customer satisfaction through effective operational management.
- Assess and understand client needs to ensure services are aligned with their expectations.
- Delegate work effectively to maximize operational efficiency and service quality.
- Develop and deliver in-house training programs covering service procedures, company policies, and best practices.
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations, with a focus on service delivery and operational excellence.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage service contracts, contract renewals, and additional service opportunities.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure all client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Recommend policy and process improvements to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees, including scheduling training sessions.
- Conduct semi-annual on-site performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with Site Managers, Supervisors, and Human Resources to administer progressive discipline in accordance with company policies.
- Gather and communicate client feedback to Site Managers and Supervisors, ensuring client expectations are understood and addressed.
- Foster a positive work environment by motivating employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure all client concerns and service issues are addressed promptly and resolved in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Director to meet and exceed contractual obligations, operational objectives, and organizational performance targets.
Qualifications & Requirement:
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in a managerial capacity within a commercial setting
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in quality control processes
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, staff, and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable; familiarity with industry best practices is preferred
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
