Shipping and Receiving Lead
Reports to
Inventory Manager
Role
The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for fulfilling receiving duties in an orderly manner as per company procedures. Including but not limited to: receiving, forklift operation, housekeeping and other duties as assigned. The Receiver is responsible for escalating issues to Inventory Manager, as required.
Responsible for processing inventory once received and picking parts as required.
Responsibilities
- Receive and issue parts as required, including returns to suppliers
- Unpack shipments received; Inspect goods as per company policy
- Inspect the Quality incoming shipments; Check parts to ensure correct parts received; Ensure parts matching PO
- Advise Purchaser of received goods (on any discrepancy (quality or quantity)
- Liaise with Inventory Manager to ensure all Purchase Orders are received within company outlined time window
- Resolve invoice or goods receipt discrepancies for purchase orders
- Report part defects to Inventory Manager as per company procedures
- Process and package orders as per order sheet specification
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pick up as per documentation
- Responsible to ensure all shipments leave as per schedule and if truck is late picking up, this role must stay behind to load and receive. This may occur last minute.
- Ensure all receiving Docks are closed and locked at the end of every shift
- Drive Forklift and Counterbalance as required
- Ensure compliance and participation with all health and safety regulations and practices as required by the Company
- Adhere to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety guarding and general safe working practices
- Follow proper safety equipment and follow safe working practices.

- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- Stand for prolonged periods, lift, bend, stretch, walk, crouch
- Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs when requested
- Work is performed in a combination of environments
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience as a shipper/receiver
- Forklift experience
- Well organized, attentive to details, accuracy
- Ability to work both as an individual and in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
- Proven track record of personal responsibility and accountability
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00 per hour
