Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our team. This role involves performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across various commercial and construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation, with experience in commercial electrical systems. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute electrical work.
- Perform renovation tasks involving electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety codes and standards.
- Assist in the installation of new electrical infrastructure during construction or renovation projects.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards or malfunctions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or HVAC technicians to complete projects efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman/Woman Electrician license or certification.
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving electrical components.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
