Location: 100 % remote
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support existing AS400 systems and platforms to ensure optimal performance and stability
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Design and implement enhancements, fixes, and new features based on business needs
- Adhere to architecture standards, best practices, and secure coding principles
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Write comprehensive technical documentation and test cases; execute unit testing
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues promptly
- Provide continuous improvement recommendations and contribute to code reviews and static analysis
- Support deployment, integration, and production support activities as needed
- Participates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to enable progress, and surface and resolve impediments
- Collaborates with the team to support end-to-end including design, development, QA, deployment and production support
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Test software development methodology in an agile environment.
What You Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience with strong expertise in AS400, RPG, CL, DB2, ILE, and SQL
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Aurora
- Experience with open-source frameworks and version control systems
- Knowledge of application server configuration and administration (preferred)
- Proven ability to work in Agile environments and implement Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- College degree or equivalent experience in IT or related fields
- Extensive hands-on experience with ERP, Finance, HR, or Pricing systems is a plus
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Distribution or Supply Chain environments
- Familiarity with additional development languages or scripting
