Journeyperson Electrician

Gouthro Electric is a growing electrical contracting company serving residential, commercial, and light industrial clients throughout HRM and the St. Margaret's Bay area. We are currently seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team.
We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, and are committed to delivering high-quality electrical installations and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Complete residential and commercial service work, renovations, and new construction projects
- Install electrical panels, generators, EV chargers, lighting systems, and controls
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics
- Diagnose electrical issues and implement safe, effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards
- Maintain accurate job documentation and materials tracking
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and contractors
- Work efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe job site
QualificationsJourneyperson Electrician
- Valid Construction Electrician Journeyperson Certification
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Experience in residential and commercial electrical work
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Electrical Apprentice
- Registered Electrical Apprentice (all levels welcome to apply)
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver's license preferred
