Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/Labourer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and assisting with general labour tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position provides a paid opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in construction painting and related trades while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure smooth finishes.
- Apply primers, paints, stains, and coatings with precision using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Assist with rigging and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely for elevated work.
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as drills, sanders, and paint sprayers efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines while delivering quality workmanship.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and clients to ensure project specifications are understood and met.
Experience
- Previous painting experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with painting techniques including residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and safety procedures on job sites.
- Experience with caulking, surface preparation, and working with various coatings or finishes.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Must have access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license.
