Job description
- Hauling Amazon loads Regionally between London, Sarnia, Windsor and Brampton
- 12 hours shift avalilable
- 5-6 days a week
- Mon - Friday permanent shift for 11 am start
- Friday - Sunday shift also available 23:00 start
- Everyday home - Start from London terminal and finish
Job Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment, including automotive repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues.Skills
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must need minimum of 3 years of class 1 experience
- Knowledge of freight handling, securement, and loading/unloading procedures.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning.
- Good communication skills for coordination with team members and dispatchers.
