Our Mechanic Inc. is a very busy, small, family-owned automotive repair facility dedicated to providing top-notch service and care for our customers' vehicles. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking an Automotive Journeyman Technician to join our team at Our Mechanic Inc. This role is essential in ensuring that vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, contributing to our reputation for excellence in automotive service.
The successful applicant will be a licensed Journeyman technician with strong diagnostic skills and ability to do a variety of repairs on all makes and models. Ability to repair diesel engines would be considered a very strong asset. We work on a very diverse range of vehicles from domestic to imports, Gas, Diesel, and the occasional hybrid vehicles.
Applicants outside of Canada will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned
- Diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform the repair
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisors
- Perform road test and safety inspections
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
- Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a team and possess strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude
- Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40-$45 an hour based on experience
Benefits: Extended health care after 3 months
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm
