Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes in our kitchen. Your attention to detail and knowledge of food safety guidelines will ensure that our customers receive high-quality meals.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and fryers
- Prep the main line at open, shift change, and close
- Check kitchen line for fresh and freezer pulls to ensure the line runs successfully
- Checking inventory regularly to ensure food & dressing is prepped
- Monitor food temperatures to ensure proper cooking and storage
- Plate and present dishes in an appealing manner
- Clean and sanitize workstations before, during, and after meal preparation
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- 3-5 years experience as a Line Cook is a must
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
