The Senior Practice Lead, NP is a provincial leadership role within Professional Practice, accountable for advancing Nurse Practitioner practice across Covenant Health. This position provides expert consultation, corporate leadership and strategic oversight to support the integration, standardization and optimization of NP practice across multiple service sectors. The role leads and supports discipline-specific and interprofessional initiatives, including practice changes, policy and guideline development and workforce planning activities. Key accountabilities include leading strategic planning initiatives to advance and standardize NP practice and enable full scope utilization across the organization, providing expert consultation on NP scope of practice, regulatory standards, competency and role development, and developing and implementing policies, standards and guidelines aligned with organizational and provincial priorities. The Senior Practice Lead leads and participates in complex, multi-stakeholder projects and practice change initiatives across the continuum of care while building and sustaining strong partnerships with internal leaders, regulatory bodies, government ministries and academic institutions. The role anticipates emerging trends, risks and opportunities and advises leadership on innovative, evidence-informed solutions. It also supports interprofessional collaboration and aligns NP practice with broader workforce and care delivery strategies. Occasional travel within the province is required. There is also an opportunity to maintain a small clinical practice component to support ongoing competency. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:
Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Minimum 3 years of experience as an NP leader in a complex healthcare environment. Demonstrated expertise in NP practice across multiple service sectors and strong knowledge of interprofessional practice.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience in a professional practice or system-level role. Experience leading interprofessional or provincial initiatives. Knowledge of healthcare system trends, workforce planning and models of care innovation.
