Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender/Server to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a lively restaurant environment, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. The ideal candidate will have restaurant experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Prior knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, cooking, food safety, and customer service within a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Take orders accurately and efficiently from guests, ensuring timely service of food and beverages
- Cook basic food items
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Handle cash transactions using POS systems such as Micros POS, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
Skills
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems like Maitre'D, Toast or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
