Product Specialist
Location: Canada (Hybrid)
Salary Range: CAD $50,000 – $75,000 per year

Blue Byte Systems is seeking a Product Specialist based in Canada to manage, support, and promote our SOLIDWORKS PDM automation products, PDMShell and PDMPublisher. This role is responsible for testing, demonstrating, documenting, and supporting these tools to ensure customer success and continuous product improvement.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM, understands engineering data workflows, and can effectively communicate technical concepts to users and stakeholders.
This role also requires the ability and willingness to record yourself on video, including creating product demonstrations, tutorials, and educational content for customers and marketing purposes.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Testing and Validation
- Test PDMShell and PDMPublisher with SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM
- Validate new features, bug fixes, and releases
- Reproduce and document reported issues
- Verify compatibility across SOLIDWORKS and PDM versions
Customer Demonstrations and Support
- Deliver live product demonstrations to customers and partners
- Assist customers with onboarding and initial setup
- Support trial users and help convert trials into licenses
- Provide technical guidance and best practices
- Record video demonstrations and walkthroughs
Documentation and Content Creation
- Write and maintain product documentation
- Create tutorials, guides, and knowledge base articles
- Update release notes and feature descriptions
- Contribute to internal and public documentation portals
- Record video tutorials and training content
Product Feedback and Improvement
- Provide feedback to development team
- Help prioritize feature requests
- Identify usability improvements
- Assist with quality assurance
Required Qualifications
- Must be located in Canada
- Strong experience with SOLIDWORKS
- Strong experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional
- Deep understanding of PDM workflows, transitions, and references
- Ability to test and troubleshoot engineering software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly
- Ability and willingness to record yourself on video for demos and tutorials
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, C#, or similar)
- Experience with engineering automation tools
- Experience writing technical documentation
- Experience performing software demos
- Understanding of data migration and PDM administration
- Experience recording training or technical video content
