Founded in 1990, MBM Installations is a full-service provider of physical education equipment, public seating systems, and operable walls / doors. Our clients consist of school boards, athletic facilities, theatres, colleges & universities and municipalities. We are looking for top talent to join our team.
The Lead Installer will be completing new equipment installation, preventive maintenance and safety inspections, routine maintenance repairs and emergency repairs.
Ideally the candidate understands and is able to utilize blueprints / installation drawings. Repair and maintains in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manual, and manufacturer's specifications. The ideal candidate will possess great organizational skills, people skills, a superior work ethic and extensive installation / carpentry / framing experience. A mechanical aptitude would be a bonus. A “generalist” capability with a extensive working knowledge of hand and power tools would be ideally suited. Leadership skills and an ability to build team relationships and teamwork are essential.
This job requires driving to site in a company vehicle. Driving company vehicles requires a full driver’s license and clean drivers abstract. Must be on site daily and able to work 10 hour days. Candidates should also be aware that some work is completed at varying heights up to 40 feet. Experience using aerial work platforms is an asset as is Working at Heights training.
Out of town travel is required. Approximately 40-50 days per year (maximum 5 days at a time)
This position offers ample opportunity for overtime. Employees work a 4 day work week, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday with a 6:00am start time.

- Position is physically demanding. During an installation there is the unloading of steel and boxes from the tractor trailer and bringing them into the job site. You can not use a forklift on a gym floor. Carrying hundreds of parts / boxes up to the balcony area. Installation and servicing of manual partitions requires installing heavy panels into a track system. This position needs a person who is physically fit. Some days you will be on your feet for 10 hours going up and down stairs and climbing extension ladders. Other days, you will spend the majority of your day on your knees drilling holes and installing anchors for theatre seating. Do you believe you are capable of this level of activity 4 days in a row?
- When not out of town, our day starts at 6:00am at our shop in Holland Landing. Is our location and / or start time going to be a problem for you? Typically Toronto, Whitby, Mississauga, north of Barrie, Brampton and north of Beaverton are a one hour drive from the shop.
