Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service while managing transactions efficiently. Your primary responsibilities include operating POS systems, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support sales initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure products are well-presented and accessible
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information and directing calls as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area for efficiency and safety
- Process transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and record keeping
- Support sales efforts through product knowledge sharing and suggestive selling techniques
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and promotions
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and upselling techniques
- Ability to demonstrate products effectively and conduct product demos when needed
- Technical sales experience or familiarity with technology products is advantageous
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Time management skills to ensure prompt service during peak hours

Pay: $15.90-$15.95 per hour
