Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met. You will play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests by efficiently handling food preparation, serving, and cashiering tasks.
Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately.
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with established recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure a safe environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and standards throughout the food service process.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to maintain efficiency during peak service times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with team members and guests.
