The successful candidate will possess a Secondary School diploma and/or Special Courses, a Personal Care Worker Certificate, or possess or be enrolled in a certificate/diploma/degree in a health care discipline. 6 months to 1 year of related experience is required. CPR is considered an asset. Ability to reflect on one’s own biases and demonstrate empathy for clients is essential. The successful applicant will possess effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-professional team environment. Besides being reliable, co-operative and client-focused you will be a motivated team player who shows initiative. In addition, you will possess effective organizational, problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with clinical care and issues specific to mental health and addictions settings is required. You will have the ability to work with clients, teams and stakeholders from diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds, and demonstrate high levels of sensitivity and diplomacy. Days, Nights, Evening and Weekend availability is required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
Salary Range: $23.64 – $29.15 per hour
