Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support & Network Analyst to join our dynamic technology team. This role involves managing and supporting complex network infrastructures, ensuring system security, and optimizing network performance across diverse platforms. Duties
- Provide comprehensive network support, including troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall issues to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure such as LAN, WAN, Cisco routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper devices, and network switches.
- Implement and oversee network security protocols including Cisco ISE, PKI, encryption standards, and IDS/IPS systems to safeguard organizational data.
- Administer Active Directory, LDAP, and authentication services to control user access and enhance security measures.
- Support virtualization environments utilizing VMware vSphere, Citrix, OpenSUSE, Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris, and BSD operating systems.
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, and other tools; perform capacity planning and load balancing for high availability systems.
- Automate routine tasks through scripting with PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Python, Ansible, and Shell Scripting to improve efficiency.
- Manage data center operations including SAN storage solutions and server hardware maintenance.
- Collaborate on network architecture design and deployment for new projects involving MPLS, BGP/EIGRP/OSPF routing protocols, QoS configurations, and SDLC processes.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations using APIs and network management tools; participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF; experience with MPLS and IP networking fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of network security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, VPNs (IPsec), PKI infrastructure, Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper devices.
- Proficiency with operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions like Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu; familiarity with UNIX/BSD systems.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Citrix; cloud services like AWS and Azure.
- Hands-on expertise in system administration tasks involving Active Directory management and LDAP integration.
- Skilled in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash Shell Scripting; automation tools like Ansible for configuration management.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), PRTG Network Monitor; SIEM solutions like Splunk.
- Knowledge of VoIP technologies (Cisco VoIP), telecommunication protocols (SIP), high availability architectures (load balancing), SAN storage solutions.
- Ability to develop APIs for system integration; experience with open-source tools like openSUSE or Solaris is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments; excellent communication skills.
