Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Comprehensively Trained Pilates Instructor to join our team at Club Pilates Davisville Village. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pilates, excellent communication skills, and the ability to educate and motivate clients of all skill levels. As a Pilates Instructor, you will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness while fostering a positive and supportive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and effective Pilates classes tailored to the needs of participants.
- Educate clients on proper techniques, form, and safety measures during exercises.
- Provide personalized guidance and modifications to accommodate various fitness levels.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by motivating clients and encouraging them to achieve their fitness goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized studio environment before, during, and after classes.
- Visually inspect the equipment prior and after class to ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their individual needs and preferences.
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on the latest Pilates trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance class offerings.
- Arriving to the club 10 - 15 minutes prior to the class beginning
- “Checking-in" members before class.
- Chatting with members getting ready to participate in class (being aware of clients who have injuries and require modification etc.)
- Welcoming members to your class, introducing yourself and getting them excited!
- Conduct class with enthusiasm and motivation.
- Remain 10 - 15 minutes after the class to connect with members and obtain feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum 450-hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac and Springboard).
- Demonstrated group reformer instruction abilities with ability to modify for different individuals in class.
- Experience teaching group classes in an apparatus-based group class.
- Professional and effective communication skills with proven public speaking skills.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure classes start and end on schedule.
- Proven ability to educate clients effectively on Pilates principles and practices.
- Previous experience in a fitness or wellness environment is preferred.
- A passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work harmoniously with the public, management and other instructors.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Proficient in English.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.0 – 12.0 per week
