Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients at all times
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment in accordance with health codes
- Support serving staff as needed to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes to guests
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and innovative culinary techniques
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a culinary environment is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent understanding of restaurant management operations and kitchen workflow
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to high-quality service
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Experience in the food industry, particularly within restaurant management or hospitality sectors, is preferred

Pay: $42,040.90-$50,000.00 per year
