Job Summary
The Career Foundation is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative on behalf of one of our employer partners.
Our employer partner is a well-established Canadian distributor specializing in cabinet hardware, kitchen and furniture accessories, and related building products. With over 20 years in business and multiple locations across the Greater Toronto Area, they have built a strong reputation for quality products, exceptional customer service, and long-term relationships with contractors, cabinet manufacturers, furniture makers, and retailers.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for motivated sales professionals to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working independently, and earning uncapped commission while representing an established and growing company.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business by identifying and securing commercial accounts within your assigned Ontario territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cabinet makers, furniture manufacturers, contractors, and other industry professionals.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular follow-up and exceptional service.
- Conduct face-to-face client meetings and site visits.
- Promote the company's private label and branded hardware products.
- Provide product recommendations and technical guidance to customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback, sharing insights with the Sales Manager.
- Occasionally support the branch showroom with product demonstrations and customer consultations.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
CompensationEmployee (Payroll)
- $22.00/hour base wage
- Commission of up to 8% on net collected sales from assigned accounts
- High-performing representatives can expect to earn $60,000–$90,000+ annually
- Paid one-week training
- Vehicle expenses reimbursed according to company policy
- Full-time employee benefits as per company policy
Independent Contractor
- $20.00/hour base rate
- Commission of up to 10% on net collected sales
- Vehicle expenses reimbursed as agreed
- Paid one-week training
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, CPP, and EI
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 1 year of outside sales experience (B2B sales preferred).
- Valid Ontario driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle with the ability to travel throughout an assigned Ontario territory.
- Able to attend training and meetings at the Markham branch.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada as an employee or independent contractor.
Assets
- Experience in hardware, building materials, industrial distribution, or related industries.
- Existing relationships with cabinet shops, contractors, builders, or manufacturers within the GTA.
- Additional languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Farsi, or other languages.
