Caring for nearly 220,000 patients each year, Rockyview General Hospital (RGH) offers a full range of acute and outpatient care with over 600 inpatient beds. RGH overlooks the scenic shores of the Glenmore Reservoir and serves a diverse patient population across Calgary and surrounding communities. The Unit Manager – provides operational and clinical leadership for the medical ambulatory services and program. Reporting directly to the Patient Care Manager, Ambulatory Services & Cardiovascular Labs, this position is responsible for providing direction, organization and decision-making in support of the vision, mission and strategic priorities of Alberta Health Services. Working collaboratively with the leadership team, physicians and interdisciplinary team members, the Unit Manager supports clinical operations, workforce planning, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and the achievement of program and site objectives. The position fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement and operational excellence while supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a health-related field. Current professional registration in good standing with the applicable regulatory body. A minimum of five years of experience working in a healthcare setting. A minimum of one year of recent leadership experience within the last three years in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated leadership ability in a complex healthcare system. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Manager experience in the last three years. Ambulatory care leadership experience. Frontline or leadership experience in Day Medicine, Endoscopy, infusion therapy, or procedural services are an asset. Quality Improvement or Change Management certification. Completion of leadership development programs. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
