Heatherbrae Builders Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team and work directly under the Superintendent. We are looking to fill positions in Victoria and Mid Island.
The Foreman will be responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily site activities, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring work is completed according to schedule and quality requirements. The role serves as the key link between the Superintendent and site personnel.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to execute project schedules and site plans.
- Conduct daily crew meetings and communicate project expectations.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, and quality control.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents with crews.
- Identify and resolve site issues proactively.
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and site documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience, including supervisory or lead-hand experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and building procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and project schedules.
- First Aid certification and safety training (OSHA/OFA/CSO or equivalent) considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
