Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Walk-In Cooler/Freezer Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing walk-in coolers and freezers in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and familiarity with schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise in refrigeration systems, plumbing, welding, and HVAC components. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation and operation of walk-in units, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our clients' facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install walk-in coolers and freezers according to schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on existing refrigeration units
- Utilize plumbing, welding, and HVAC skills to ensure proper system connections and functionality
- Read and interpret schematics to accurately assemble and install components
- Conduct inspections to verify proper installation and operational standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols during all phases of installation and repair
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues related to refrigeration systems and appliances
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, appliance repair, or mechanical maintenance
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler systems, HVAC, and schematics
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings and diagrams
- Prior experience as a mechanic or in refrigeration system installation is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
