GROUND CREW / DRIVER
Approximately June 15, 2026 - September 15, 2026 (Approximately 12-week temporary contract). Potential for full-time AME apprentice position
Vision Air Services Inc. is a full service commercial helicopter company located at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport and is 100% locally owned and operated with over 45+ years of industry and management experience. Vision Air operates a fleet of three (3) Bell Jet Ranger aircraft, (1) AS355, and one (1) Sikorsky S76A++ helicopter.
We are seeking an individual to fill a position of Ground Crew / Driver for an 12-week temporary contract beginning approximately June, 2026. Successful candidates will be responsible for mixing and loading herbicide onto company aircraft while working in a fast paced, safety conscious operational environment. 95% of the required work is “away from base” where per diems and accommodations are provided over the duration of the employment contract. Scope of work includes a seven (7) day work week, subject to weather days and some time free from duties. Successful candidates can expect to familiarize themselves with the Bell 206 series aircraft in an operational environment, perform aircraft fueling and maintenance tasks, maintain ancillary equipment, aircraft grooming and perform driving related tasks. Past candidates have used this valuable operational experience to secure full time employment in the industry.
Preference will be given to individuals with straight truck driving experience and mechanical background.
Proof of a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record is required. Air-brake endorsement would be considered an asset.
Candidates will be required to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License. Mixing & Loading exam to be written online. Study materials and exam costs to be provided by the company.
