ROLE SUMMARY
The Material Handler position is responsible for the organization, preparation and handling of raw materials and finished goods. Acting as a primary support for the organization of the production, the Material Handler is required to work autonomously with high level of skill in attention to detail, organization, and priority management.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the production line has the necessary raw materials for upcoming work orders, with ability to be both autonomous while anticipating the needs
- Visually inspects condition of various raw materials while following quality procedures
- Ensures proper rotation of material inventory, following FIFO procedures
- Respecting the storage plan provided
- Maintaining all work areas are clean, tidy & safe
- Enforcing health and safety rules, follow adequate training in conjunction with the safety department to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assists in the management of incoming and outgoing materials, including loading & unloading of trucks
- Must be willing to fill in on the line as and when required by the production manager
- Must be willing to learn new roles as and when required
- Collaborate with Logistics team
- Any other related duties requested by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma (an asset)
- 1-2 years warehouse experience
Knowledge and Competencies
- Experience in a manufacturing plant (an asset)
- Forklift operating experience (required)

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Wear PPE as required
- Frequent changes in temperature depending on the movements inside the plant
- Monday to friday | Day shift
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional handling of heavy loads (40 kg)
- Good physical and mental health

Pay: $20.00-$22.50 per hour
