What You Will Be Doing
As part of our Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) team, you will play a direct role in ensuring product quality and performance before our customized hardware ships to global customers. All roles at North Microwave require strong teamwork, great communication, and a passion for getting things done the right way. We work smart and hard by solving complex problems and ensuring our technical solutions work seamlessly for all stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a co-op student or short-term worker looking to gain hands-on aerospace, defense, or telecom manufacturing experience.
Primary Job Duties
- Assemble precision parts and components for RF assemblies and microwave filters.
- Perform detailed soldering operations on electrical assemblies.
- Tune RF microwave filters to meet performance metrics.
- Test electrical components and systems using standard laboratory test equipment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
- Follow strict manufacturing safety procedures and maintain an organized workstation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Available for full-time hours for the complete 4-month duration (September – December 2026).
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering, Electronics, or Physics co-op program, or possessing equivalent technical contract experience.
- Strong manual dexterity and close attention to detail for precise assembly and soldering work.
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to safely operate light manufacturing machinery.
- Asset: Knowledge and understanding of a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
- Asset: Basic familiarity or educational experience with Python programming (utilized as a secondary task).
Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
