About the position
Reporting to the Director or the delegate, and working in collaboration with the teachers and resource teachers you will be responsible to:
- Assist children in their learning.
- Establish an atmosphere conducive to learning, maintain good classroom management.
- Supervise children while modeling positive attitudes and behaviours.
- Plan, conduct and participate in activities, organize and monitor the program.
We are currently seeking a Bilingual (French & English) Registered Early Childhood Educator or MACTE certified educator for our francophone school & childcare.
Job Summary
- Full-time hours may vary between our operating hours of 8h00 to 5h30.
- Someone who enjoys working with children
- strong spoken & written French / French as a first language - an asset
- Plan and carry out daily activities for the children
- Communicate with parents & guardians in French and English
- Attend meetings and workshops to discuss and develop new teaching methods
- comfortable writing progress reports and meeting with parents to discuss progress
- Reliable and in good health
- Must have Police Check - Vulnerable Sector Screening; Standard First Aid/ CPR-C and all up to date immunizations
- Minimum 1 year experience working in childcare or school
