Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for students. This role involves working closely with children to foster a positive educational environment, assist with instructional activities, and provide individualized support as needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong communication skills, and experience working with children, including those with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
- Support students’ learning by providing one-on-one or small group instruction
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Supervise children during activities, breaks, and transitions
- Support students with special needs or disabilities to ensure they participate fully in classroom activities
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to support student progress
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience or background in early childhood education preferred
- Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
- Knowledge of basic math concepts and instructional techniques
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a caring attitude toward children
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions carefully
- Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education or related fields are a plus
