Moosonee Transportation Limited is seeking a Heavy-Duty Apprentice Mechanic to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance & repairs on both light & heavy-duty vehicles, equipment, trailers, etc.
- Diagnose mechanical issues & implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety & operational standards.
- Order parts, complete PO’s, etc.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic (2nd year apprentice preferred)
- Drivers license required (AZ preferred). Ability to drive standard transmission required.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, gravel trucks, manlifts, forklifts, etc. preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills
- Previous experience performing safeties using the DriveOn safety program an asset.
Travel & Accommodations:
- Travel expenses to and from Moosonee as well as accommodations, provided by Moosonee Transportation Limited.
- Company vehicle while in Moosonee
Salary:
Competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
