EPSY 820 – Theories of Counselling
A study of the current theories of counselling. Critical examination of these theories, in terms of their historic significance, their relevance to school counselling and techniques that are appropriate for each.
Position Requirements
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Ph.D. degree in Education appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. Applicants should also have knowledge of, and experience in educational psychology and/or counselling psychology, through research, teaching, practice, and other scholarly experience. University teaching experience is an asset.
