Earls Marine Closures and Services Ltd. is a family-owned company specializing in the design, detailing, fabrication, and installation of custom marine closures. Based in Port Kells, Surrey, we proudly serve clients both locally and internationally, supporting vessels around the world.
We are growing and are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Sales & Project Lead.
Position Summary
The Sales & Project Lead plays a critical role in managing steel and miscellaneous metal projects from initial client contact through to completion. This position blends estimating, customer relationship management, and project oversight, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in steel fabrication and a proven ability to lead projects through design, detailing, fabrication, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for steel fabrication projects
- Develop detailed project scopes and proposals for clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Collaborate with clients to establish realistic timelines and deliverables
- Review drawings and specifications to determine materials, processes, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with shop management and maintain a daily schedule of active projects
- Monitor project costs and support job costing reviews
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in estimating steel fabrication projects
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in steel fabrication
- Strong knowledge of steel grades, fasteners, connections, and fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural, and construction drawings
- Proven experience managing projects from award through completion
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts

- In-person at our Port Kells facility in Surrey, BC
